Chocolate and Werthers…..

Ok I know……you dont have to yell…..or scream…..or pull my hair…..its been a while…..SO to make it up to you I will put lots of amazing pictures on this blog write up……SO since Morocco we flew back to London for a couple days where we found the most amazing sports store ever, went to some cool new pubs and played some rugby…..then we drove up to Cardiff and watched the Wales VS SA international game and then headed up to Wrexham where we are now visiting Tims Grandparents…..So from the start……We decided to check out some sports stores in London and came across the most amazing store you have ever been into EVERRRRRR. Its called sports direct/ lilywhites and is 7 floors BUT there is only 2 floors of heaven…..IMAGINE all the most amazing wales rugby Under armour gear for super cheap, soccer jerseys (if your gay and like that sort of thing), but like Nike and other UA gear just getting BLOWN OUT…..THEN you see the cleats section and walk closer to realize that all the prices you have ever known for cleats are being BLOWN OUT OF THE WATER….and the most amazing cleats in the world (preds) are being sold for $40. POW! Needless to say me and Tim spent a couple hours in there and left with more than one bag ;) Then that week I went out to the Saracens Womens club practice and had a good run around with Mandy, Ulmer and Cripps and practiced with their 2nds team in preparation for the game I was gonna play in that weekend. SUPER nice girls….felt good to get a good run in since my “fitness plans” arnt really working out to the scale I thought they would. On friday we went to pick up our rental car and they wanted 750 POUNDS as a hold for the car and me and tim are like WTF?!?!?! Thats like $1300 for those of you that dont know…..so we said to the woman look this is ridiculous we are travelling and dont have $1200 on our visa to just be put on hold for a week, so shes like well we have this insurance you can buy thats $7 a day extra that brings the deposit down to $150 pounds and gives you extra insurance…..well its funny cause to be able to get THAT insurance you have to also pay another $4/day charge for another insurance and conveniently enough we needed NONE of it cause the Visa covers us up to $65,000 worth of insurance which is about 4 times the amount of the smart car ish car we were renting…..of course….so after spending the WHOLE DAY and when I say whole day I mean like literally 8 HOURS we figured out a deal and got on the road….NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER RENT FROM GREEN MOTION…..EVER……So then on the saturday me and Tim drove the 4 hour ish drive up to Cardiff to watch the International Game. It was AMAZING. Like the staidum is huge and the second you walk in the main level and can see out to the field your mind is blown away. I cant imagine getting to play on that type of level in front of that many people. The stadium full holds about 80,000 ppl there where GM place holds only like 20,000…..you get the drift. Turned out to be a super close game and was so much fun…..afterwards we met up with Tims cough*creepy* cough friends and spent the night drinking with them and going bar to bar……Girls remind me to go into depth on this story at sushi lunch…..then next day we drove most of the way back to London to a place called Henley where I was making my saracens debut. It was POURING RAIN and it is FREEZING cold outside…..like it chills your bones….I honestly have never been so cold in my life and I dont think Ive been truly warm the whole time Ive been in London…..So anyways it stopped raining in the warmup which was nice and then we got to playing and the team was super fun to play with. We played with only 14 the whole game and went down a winger but we were still all over them the whole time……I scored a england prop vs NZ try but the ref called it back…..obviously needs to watch more international rugby…..so then the next day we drove up to Wrexham in wales and are currently staying with Tims Grandparents, and his mom and his cousin are up here as well. Has been really nice to take things down a notch…..I had REAL fish and Chips for the first time, and tomorrow we are going to an outlet mall that resembles tulalip so Im pretty excited hahahaha……Its funny, everywhere we have gone its been like an overload on certain foods…..Itlay: pizza and gelato, Morocco: bread/croissonts and jam, Wales: Coffee/tea and chocolate (it dosnt help that tims grandma slips me a werthers at every moment possible)….cutest damn woman EVER….So again sorry for the delay in blog….here are some pictures to make you happy again…..

OK IM SOOOOOOOOOOOO SORRY…..the internet is SUPER slow up here and I just sat here for 45 min trying to download 1 picture…..I do have some good ones for you I will try and upload ASAP…..AT THE VERY LATEST sunday…..PROMISE…..

So there honestly hasnt been alot happening in the ladt couple days that we have been in agadir besides my scooter crash…..but Ill give you the details…..so me and tim both rent some pretty heavy duty 250cc scooters and Im thinking I am a pro if I can manage to dodge my way around messicas creziness at tims bday scoot….so were whipping around town and decide to head up to the casbar where there is some old ruins from where the old agadir was (history moment: Agadir used to be on top of a big ass hill then there was an earthquake that flattened the town and killed almost everyone in it so they decided to rebuild on the lower ground in fear of it happening again), there isnt really much there besides as I said some ruins BUT it is a huge tourist “must see” I guess so there is greyhound-ish type buses up there every 10 min and because of that there is lots of camels up there to try and swindle tons of money out of the retarded tourists who want the “full experience”. well of course I alm one of those stupid tourists who feels the absoloute need to ride a camel while I am here so I ask the guy how much and he says 150 dirhams which is like almost $20…..well I full on berber the guy (google if needed but new term for “jewing”) to letting me ride it for 10 dirhams which is like $2 SCORE ONE FOR STEVI- ZERO FOR CAMEL DUDE…..so after the camel ride a bunch of the camel men were huddled around this grocery bag of food and they call us over (sidenote: they LOVE to share their food here, no matter how gross it may look and even if they are only sharing a bit between 4…VERY generous) and they are eating baracudda tempura…..it pretty much looked like they had caught the fish threw it in the oil for a minute took it out and started eating…..head and all…..you had to try and tear the skin away, rip out the spine and check for other random bones and then eat….yeah….gross…..but I did eat some…..just so I could say I did. SO after that we continued on our scooter ride got on the highway to try and find this surf beach that was apparantly pretty close by….well we took a left turn onto a gravel road to head towards the water and BOOM, thats where it happened. Apparently using only your back brake and turning onto a gravel path means you will slide out and completely bif it….and bif it I did….I def got some good gravel road rash all up my arm and the bike landed on my leg so my knee and ankle were bruised and swollen but after tim lifted the bike off of me I took a minute to make sure no limbs were broken, grabbed the side mirror that had completely broken off and saw tthe awful gravel scrapes all up the side of the paint and got on our way again…..we finally made it to the beach and it was beautfiul….only a few people there, sand was AMAZINGLY soft, took some pictures then headed back……we scooted up the hill where all the pro footballers houses are and there are some pretty amazing ones up there!!! Its cool to see cause its not like the ones you see at home but with amazing craftmanship…they can literally build it any way they want…..HUGE like 30 ft doors…..so cool…..so the next day in the morning we had to return the scooters and this was the part I was not looking forward too….our plan was to roll up and park tims bike on the left of mine to try and hide the scrapes then take the escape route straight to the beach to never be seen again….well it didnt really work out according to plan…..we get there and the guy looks over the bikes and immediately notices the issues….we did have the mirror screwed back on but hardly the same…..finally after a lot of denying and haggling we came to the “make it go away agreement”of paying 450 dirhams which is like $55….considering the mirror was broken and they needed a new paint job we thought it was an ok deal……we basically just wanted to make the deal before their boss got there…..a very large, haredened morroccon man who I think if had showed up instead I might be getting sold on the black market somewhere to make up for the accident………in the end we think we got a pretty good deal…..besides that just alot of tanning and hot weather…….

wow what a day in marrakech!!! we spent the day trying to haggle HARD at the market and came out pretty successful! After realizing we were getting jewed when the guy very conveniently left 2 scarfs out of the bags and then immediately knew when we came back to reik hell, we tried to get “real” (i do realize nothing is real in morocco but the scarfs) adidas stan smith shoes for $10 but failed when he wouldnt come below $20. Went out for some authentic moroccon food in the night market tonight and it was really good!!! Cous cous, veggies (thank god), curry chicken (could have been cat-there are millions around everywhere), bread with AMAZING hot dip sauce and olives for like $5! On the walk home met a couple of cool shit head kids who we had a good laugh with…..prob around 11 yrs old and the one kid could speak 4 languages cause according to him its “good for buisness”….he also asked tim how much for me and offered 200 durhams for the day!!! I said I was worth at least 5 million and he laughed…..then when the other kid who was pretend boxing with me told me I had a nice ass I felt there was no other way to teach him a lesson but the canadian way and I jerseyed his sweater over his head…..yesssssss……dont get me wrong though they were totally joking and it was actually a great end to the night…..off to agadir agadir agadir agadir tomorrow for some sun and TANNING……somebody has to try and keep up with Jstew…..

Bologn-WOW

Posted: October 31, 2010 in Uncategorized

where do I begin??? HOly crap the last 24hrs have been the most unexpected and amazing 24hrs everrrrrr…….so we left our “too good for us, meant for upper class rome buissnessmen hotel”, packed a lunch from the free breakfast for the road and headed on a 4hour road trip to bologna. When we got there we searched around for a sport store to shop at but of course nothing was open because nothing is EVER open at convenient NORMAL time in ITALY…..actually quite frankly I wish I worked in italy…..start at 9am till 1 then siesta till 530 and work till 8ish or whenever you damn well feel like closing….ANYWAYS, so we finally got pointed in the direction of a granville like street and parked in a shady garage where I had to go into their dark moist back hallway to use the bathroom…..felt like buffalo bill was gonna come out from the shadows and throw me down the well….after a couple hours of getting our shop on we decided to try and find an italian pub….not to be mistaken with italian bars which are on every corner and only serve SMALL cups of cappachino…..we found a cute one kinda like hells kitchen on 4th (or so tim says)….we walk in and take a seat, order a drink up and are enjoying listening to the G and R as the backround music when a very “peculiar” older woman starts talking (more like yelling) to me in Italian and French…..well lucky for me I know neither so me and Tim are looking like full on tourists trying to find single words that make sense to all of us…….hahahah…..ANYWAYS, so a group of 6 young local people sit down next to us and I ask the only girl of the group if she speaks english and if she can translate some of the things this woman is trying to say to us……well long story short lady next to us ends up being crazy and by the end of the hour is almost stripping for this girls bf, has hit tim multiple times, likes to yell at us in italian and makes yipping noises whenever she feels necessary for no apparant reason…..BUT we did start talking to the amazing group and ended up meeting them at a disco later that night….This place was AMAZING…..one room was a huge dancefloor in the middle with tiers ofstanding/dancing room and this is where the live, gothic band played anything from lady gaga to depeche mode to ricky martin…..they were actually really good and played FOREVER…..oh yeah they also had a huge robot (looked like out of star wars) on stilts doing the actual robot…..and for some reason it didnt seem weird….and yes we have video…..on the other side of the bar was a stage with their “paid” dancers on it and their MC type woman who was dressed as cruella deville and her only job was to randomly sing lines of the song whenever she felt the need and hype up the crowd while chain smoking…..so this brings us to about 330am we leave our amazing new friendsm say goodbyesm exchange facebook and head to…..the aiport for our 6am flight to Marrakech….hahaha…..it was a rough one but after managing to find our hostel amoung the labarynth of streets we spent the day in the markets scoping out our buys for tomorrow when we plan to go in and lowball and haggle the shit out of marrakech……word for the wise…..if you are blonde and a woman, do not come here to markets alone….tim left me for 1 min and I had a 14 year old boy stroking my arm and a 4o year old man tell me how beautiful my eyes were as a group of teenagers yelled “nice titties” from the side street…..Gaaaaaaah! Staying here for 1 more day then heading to agadir for some relaxation and sun tanning!!!!

Romaaaaaaaaaa

Rules of the road in Rome:

1.there are no rules
2. If your unsure about anything just go faster!
3. Park absoloutly anywhere; sidewalk, box people in… Quite frankly whatever you think is necessary
4. If a lane is 2 cars wide there will be 4 in it….then get ready to mario cart for your life
5. The rules of the road don’t apply to
scooters. If you have a scooter
ANYTHING is on

Rome is amazing….well let me correct myself…. Rome is amazing if you don’t have to drive with the crazies, or if you don’t have a gps that wants to take you 20kms to the center of Rome to find a grocery store….and then rome is amazing if when you drive around and finally find one 5min away the angry lady at the checkout dosnt yell at you in Italian then take Your single tomato and lime and put them both by her register because apparantly I did something very wrong and will not be able to purchase them today…

But through all this diversity the colesium was AMAZING. Pictures soon.

Miss you! Xxoo
